Friday 20th September saw the club host our Centenary Golf Day!
80 members, players past and present and friends new and old took part in a 20 team 4-ball competition at Mid Herts Golf Club in what was a fantastic event and celebration!
From 7.30am players stared meeting, catching up over coffees and bacon rolls before receiving the briefing and running order for the day and heading out for the 9.30am start.
There were two competitions in play through the day; the Ali Mills Cup for the best team and the OA Champion Golfer of the Year for the best individual.
A lot of fun was had out on the course, aided in no small part by the half-way house, generously supported by Jonathan Shreeves. Following the Golf the players retired to the club house to enjoy a 3 course lunch, and the company of their fellow players.
An auction and raffle was held through the afternoon with great success raising funds both for the club and our charitable endeavours.
The winners from the day were:
Ali Mills Cup - 102 points:
OA Champion Golfer of the Year - 42 points - Gordon Wood
Runner Up - 39 points - Luigi Evans
There are many thanks that we need to make;
